The terms behind the alerts
- Proxy wallet
- The smart-contract wallet Polymarket creates for each account. Trades and positions live there, so it is the address you track.
- Holder table
- The list of every wallet that holds shares of an outcome, with the size of each position.
- Fresh wallet
- A wallet funded recently, with little or no trading history before the bet in question.
- Open interest
- The total value of shares outstanding in a market. A sudden jump means new money is taking positions.
- Decision market
- A market that resolves on someone's decision or announcement, such as an appointment, a ruling or a launch. A few people can know the answer early.
- Resolution
- The moment a market settles to YES or NO under its rules, and winning shares pay out $1.
- Perps
